2nd Shift Machine Shop Supervisor

K&M Machine-Fabricating, Inc. is in search of experienced machine shop supervisor for 2nd shift.  K&M specializes in large capacity bridge mill and boring mill work for the Defense, Energy, Mining, and Construction Industries.  We have equipment with up to 60 feet of travel.  The optimum candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in a hands-on machine shop supervisory role.  Experience with low volume highly engineered product is preferred.  Hands on machining background is a must.  K&M’s supervision role is highly engaged with a technical hourly workforce.  Responsibilities include direction, oversight, and accountably for machine shop operations on your assigned shift.  It requires strong organizational and communication skills.  This position will work closely with manufacturing engineering for process support and the quality department to ensure customer expectations are being met.  We produce some of the most impressive products on the planet.  Experience with overhead crane rigging and handling is also a plus.  If you feel your skills and abilities are a good fit for this unique opportunity please apply. 

CMM & Laser Technician

The CMM & Laser Programmer/Operator completes accurate inspections and measurements of large heavy metal machined, fabricated, and welded parts to confirm compliance with customer part specifications and quality standards using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Laser Tracker Machine as well as other technical equipment and visual inspection processes. This position requires a minimum of three years of related experience.  Candidates must have specific knowledge and proficiency in reading and interpreting blue prints and engineering drawings, GD&T and good math and communication skills. Experience in the use of PC-DMIS and Programming from 3D models is preferred. VeriSurf software experience is a plus.

CNC Machine Operators

Machine Operators will produce large parts for the Defense, Mining, and Power Generation industries.  K&M operates large capacity CNC Horizontal and Vertical Milling Machines with up to 60 Feet of travel.  Previous experience running machine tools is required.  Overhead crane experience is a major plus.  We handle components up to 100,000 pounds.  If you think you are a fit for running some of the largest parts in the country apply today. 

Welders

Welders will fabricate large parts for the Defense, Mining, Machine Tool and Power Generations Industries.  We primarily fabricate carbon steel products with weights up to 100,000 lbs.  Typical fillet sizes range from ¼” up to 1”.  Previous experience with mig and flux core welding is required.  Aluminum welding and Tig welding is a plus.  Experience operating overhead cranes is preferred.  We build some of the most impressive products on the planet.  If you feel like your heavy fabrication background is a fit for our position please apply. 

Manufacturing Engineer

Our ideal candidate will have a machining CAM software background.  Mastercam experience in particular is a plus.  K&M operates some of largest horizontal boring mills and bridge mills on the market. Our largest machines travel is 17 feet X 60 feet.  We specialize in products for the Defense, Power Generation, and Mining Industries.  The manufacturing engineer’s role includes, developing CNC tool paths and providing process documentation to the shop floor.  It is a very hands-on roll where you will also spend time proving out part programs on the shop floor.  It’s a fast paced and exciting environment where you get to work on some of the world’s most impressive piece parts.  Experience machining exotic materials including titanium, Inconel, Monel, and Duplex Stainless Steel is a plus. 

Floor Workers

Our floor workers are responsible for the final prep work for the material we machine prior to customer shipment. Responsibilities include cleaning, de-burring, greasing or degreasing, minor assembly, packing/loading and general material handling. This is an entry level position which requires a high level of manual labor and the use of hand-held air tools. Candidates with mechanical aptitude/background preferred, with the ability to drive or obtain certification to operate industrial lift trucks. 

Maintenance Electrician

Responsible for maintenance/repair of industrial manufacturing equipment.  Technician will diagnose problems and repair and/or replace equipment as needed.  Equipment to include multi axis CNC controlled machine centers, welders, laser/plasma cutters, robots, cranes, electrical distribution and all related equipment.

Requirements:
   2+ years of experience in industrial electrical/electronic maintenance
   Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls desired
   Basic understanding of PLC’s and PLC programming
   Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems

Maintenance Mechanic

Primary responsibilities in providing preventive maintenance and repair maintenance on CNC horizontal boring mills and performing other general facilities maintenance services.  Must have strong hydraulics and pneumatics background, a minimum of three years related experience, ability to read blueprints, a solid working knowledge of various measuring devices and general maintenance experience.  Knowledge in electrical and welding functions is a plus.
